About
Era of Warlords: Turn Strategy
A free, browser-based territory conquest game — no account, no install, no server. Pick a historical era, take command of one nation, and conquer the map turn by turn against AI rivals.
How a turn works
Every game runs on three phases, repeated each turn:
- Reinforce — you receive new troops based on how many territories you hold (plus bonuses for controlling a whole region), and place them wherever you like.
- Attack — pick one of your territories and strike a neighbouring enemy one. Battles resolve automatically with classic dice rules (up to 3 attacking dice vs. up to 2 defending dice); no manual rolling needed.
- Fortify — reposition troops between your own connected territories to shore up a border before ending the turn. Troops that already moved once this turn can't be moved again until your next turn, so repositioning has real limits.
Whoever controls every territory on the map wins. AI opponents can also propose or break non-aggression pacts, and weaker powers tend to band together against whoever is winning — so staying dominant gets harder the bigger you get.
